City Photography was set up by National Photographer to bring photographer and clients closer together. With the public failure of the SWPP in providing quality photographers and reasonable support to photographers over the years National Photographer stepped up and stepped in to make a real difference.

City Photography is a lower level Benchmark for photographers who are true professional photographers and offer a good service and is possibly idea for those photographers that don’t make the grade for National Photographer status.

City Photography operates a total of 87 websites all based on a local level and using local photographers and members to cover these areas.
The websites are managed and promoted by City Photography’s head office and updated with information provided by the local photographer members who pay to have/use the websites for work.

Together City Photography and photographers work in creating a full website with more personal information and images to promote those photographers. The photographer members also have links to their own websites, further promotion their own websites and services.

City Photography websites are geared up for a slight difference in the services that the photographer may offer from their own websites and business in order to generate more interest. On one hand City photography website can be just like a directory listing, however the difference being that the websites are fully geared towards photography and the photographer has the complete website to offer and promote from rather than a directory with its paragraph and a small image.

City Photography charge for applications as we are a low or none profit business. Photographers apply to become a member of City Photography and the area of photography that they wish to be considered (such as wedding, portrait etc)
The photographer also requests the area (city or town) that they would like to use.

The photographer when accepted can select the type (design) of the website from our List of ready made site designs, if the site is not already operational. The website has a default content set up by City Photography to maximise the hits and SEO ranking.

After the website is set up and operational; the photographers are invited to send in images and text content to the website within its first week of operation.
This content is added to the website by City Photography, We check the content to maximise the effectiveness and also adjust the images to fit to the associated website design.

Once this has been competed, City Photography actively promote the website so that the website is ranked on Google and Other search engines.

This is carried out for a small anual fee and update are charged at a hourly rate. Making city Photography websites one of the cheapest options around and one of the best options for photographers!

Currently we are considering options packages that come with City Photography such as Pop3 email accounts, Lo-call numbers, uniforms, mobile phones etc.
